01Online purchases: 14-day right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer through our website, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days, without giving a reason and at no cost other than the cost of returning the item. The period starts on the day you (or a person you designate, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the item. If you order several items that are delivered separately, the period starts when you receive the last item.

The same applies if you collect an online order in one of our stores: the period then runs from collection.

02Statutory exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to (Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law):

• investment gold and silver (bars and coins) whose selling price is set by the daily rate on the precious metals market, which we cannot control (VI.53, 2°). If we sell such items at a distance, we tell you so expressly before the purchase. Jewellery and other items sold at a fixed price can be returned, even if they are made of gold;
• items altered or personalised at your request, such as a resized ring or an engraving (VI.53, 3°).

03How to withdraw

1. Inform us within the 14-day period that you are withdrawing, by a clear statement sent by email to info@laminedediamant.eu or by post. Please include your order number. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your notice before the period expires.
2. Return the item no later than 14 days after your notice to: La Mine De Diamant, Lippenslaan 56, 8300 Knokke-Heist, Belgium. You can also bring it back to our store in Knokke-Heist or Bruges.
3. Ship the item well packed, insured for its full value and tracked. Keep the proof of postage.

The cost of returning the item is yours. If you live outside the EU, you also handle the export formalities; we cannot refund import duties and taxes paid in your country (you may be able to reclaim them from your customs authority).

04Condition of the item

You may handle the item as you would in a shop, to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Return it in the condition in which you received it, with the certificate of authenticity and all accessories supplied (dust bag, box, cards, padlock, keys, links, etc.). You are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary; we may deduct it from the refund.

Before shipping, we record each item's identifying features (serial number, date code, unique signs of wear and photos). On receipt, we check that the returned item is the same one. If it is not, we refuse the return and may report it to the police.

05Refund

We refund the full amount, including the original delivery costs (delivery within the EU is free), no later than 14 days after receiving your notice of withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item or until you have supplied proof of having sent it back. The refund is made using the same means of payment as your order, unless we expressly agree otherwise; you will not incur any fees for it.

06In-store purchases

Purchases concluded in our store carry no statutory right of withdrawal. You can examine every piece at your leisure before buying. An exchange or return is possible only if we have expressly agreed it in writing at the time of purchase. The legal guarantee and our authenticity guarantee always continue to apply.

07A defect? That is not a return

If an item has a defect that was not stated in the description, it falls under the two-year legal guarantee, separately from the right of withdrawal. Report it to us within two months of discovering it, preferably with photos. See section 10 of our Terms & Conditions.
